Tap Room Manager (Evenings & Weekends) – Henderson Brewing Company
(Full Time – 40 hours/week)

You will be reporting to our Partner – Sales & Tap Room and will be part of a great team of fellow tap room staff.
As the Evenings and Weekends Tap Room Manager your primary task will be to ensure that the Henderson tap room experience is fun, friendly and informative for our guests. Your secondary task will be to ensure that any events taking place in the brewery are run smoothly. You will succeed by coaching staff in a hands-on manner and leading by example.
You will excel by keep calm when the tap room is busy. Also showing your commitment to good beer, the community, and a fun, down-to-earth sensibility. Incredibly high organization and customer engagement skills, the ability to have fun while working hard and a keen sense for making people feel welcomed is essential.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
• Working in & running the tap room on weekends & several weekday evenings – this means our busiest times when the taproom is at its fullest.
• Co-Manage the taproom staff with the day time manager, delegate tasks as required, and coordinate work to ensure productive operations
• Perform taproom staff training and implement new processes as required
• Drive sales through effective use of the retail space
• Ensure strong team development, including team building events
• Maintain adequate stock through efficient inventory management
• Ensuring guest satisfaction & ensuring all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution
• Effective communication with staff to be sure that tasks are being completed
• Maintain Taproom cash registers and hold staff accountable for deficits
• Great & assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to
Who You Are:
You like beer (you don’t have to love it, but like it – you know the difference between an IPA & an Amber Ale) and have visited the brewery.
A self-starter. A team player. Someone who wants to be part of something special and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. You like it when its busy and if its slow you aren’t afraid to ask for other responsibilities – like maybe helping out with canning or kegging.
This job is 40 hours/week (5 shifts) but will allow you to have a life outside of work. On weekends we close at 11pm & you should be done by midnight latest. That being said your schedule is flexible and varies week-week
• Completion of high school & College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
• Min 3 years of work experience in the service industry
• Min 2 years of work experience in a supervisory role in a retail or service environment, managerial experience required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
