In Ides of...

This one was a real pleasure to brew.  Big thanks to Sleeman and all the ex-Upper Canada folks who helped us dial in the recipe.

Upper Canada Repatriation Lager

Style: American Lager, Pre-Prohibition/Premium Style

OG: 14 Plato

ABV: 6%

IBU: 30

SRM: 8

Aroma: bread dough, grain husks, freshly baked biscuits, crackers.

Appearance: Deep gold/light copper with a touch of red. Crystal clear with an ivory colored, persistent head. Significant lacing.

Taste: Bready/biscuity upfront balanced well by hop bitterness on the finish, touch of pretzel and very slight minerality. Clean: no yeast derived character.  Finishes crisp inviting another sip.

Mouthfeel: medium to medium-high body with medium to medium high carbonation. Crisp, highly drinkable.

Overall Impression: A full-flavoured, yet very balanced, premium domestic lager.
